The ATT Monitor 2016 Report was launched\u00a0Monday, 22 August 2016.<\/p>\n

The report begins with a summary of the state of the ATT as of 31 May 2016, when 82 countries were State Party to the Treaty.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Chapter 1 is a\u00a0<\/span>special thematic section on the ATT in Africa<\/strong>. It focuses on the experience of African countries and the challenges and opportunities they face as they try to implement the obligations of the ATT.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Chapter 2 explores the concept of risk as it relates to the ATT and introduces the Monitor\u2019s\u00a0<\/span>new \u2018Risk Watch\u2019 research tool<\/strong>, which will gather and synthesize expert sources on arms-transfer related risks.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Chapter 3 analyses the\u00a0<\/span>first public Initial Reports on national implementation<\/strong>\u00a0<\/span>measures taken by States Parties and clarifies the definitions of the main categories of arms and ammunition regulated by the ATT.<\/p>\n

Chapter 4 provides a summary assessment of the\u00a0<\/span>first Annual Reports on arms exports and imports<\/strong>.\u00a0<\/p>\n
